The Blood Of The Lion
When the kingdom of Eros was split into three subsections and power was traded to the three children of King Leonne The Fifth, the army of Eros had to be separated as well. At first, the army was split based on citizenship, but that was quickly overruled by the higher commanders of the army, as they felt an allegiance to the entire kingdom and refused to be an opposing force to their brothers in arms. As such, any objectors were conscripted into a new standing army which would not be split. Named the “Eros Alliance”, the soldiers were put in new roles where they would serve the good of the entire kingdom regardless of any split in the land, and they would stand alongside the three new armies in opposition to any invaders.
The army is a freestanding entity in a sense, but has a council formed of members of the court in all three subsections of Eros. In recent months, the question of what the army does in the case of war has generally been met with silence from the controlling commanders, while others have suggested that the army will act in whatever way they believe will lead to peace for the kingdom.
As they are composed of objectors to the separation and can not actively recruit from the kingdom’s subsections (without it being seen as an act of aggression) they are a much smaller force than any of the three newer standing armies, and are placed into duties that are seen as neutral and not to the advantage of any one side in the potential upcoming conflict.
